Because caps come in all shapes and sizes, it is not always easy to select one. below are some of the most important cap features to consider.
Panels
Most baseball style hats are 5 to 6 panels. The decision to choose one or the other rests on fit and decorating methods. The more panels a hat has, the better it will fit your head (assuming correct sizing). Although 5 panels should also fit nicely, just not as perfectly, they are best suited when silk screening or transfers are to be sued for decoration.

Size

Unstrustired - the unstructured hat will "flop" when held and is very loose. It can be of thick or thin material.
Structured - a structied hat will keep it's shape when of your head and tends to be stiffer
